Climate Data

We always knew that one of the challenges of certifying a Passive House in New Zealand was going to be ensuring we had accurate climate data that was acceptable to the Passive House Institute.
We have some sets of climate data for several locations throughout New Zealand, but they are unverified by the Institute.
Tomas, our certifier, has put us onto John Morehead of Wain Morehead Architects in Ireland. They have developed a tool which will generate climate data for any position in the world using the data from Meteonorm. Meteonorm is the data set used by the Passive House Institute for generating climate data.
We've sent the necessary information off to John, and we're planning to submit the data to the Institute for verification.
